Gender identity-What you think your gender is.
Genetic sex- Chromosomal sex according to the genes your mom gives you.
MtF-Transition or fully transitioned (male to female gender).
Medical agency-Make your own choices about your health.
Estrogen-The hormone that develop female characteristics.
Puberty-This is a time of life when people experience Rapid growth and sexual maturation.

This is true because Emily could get hormones and start getting female characteristics she wishes for. To begin with, Emily had flashbacks of the time when she told her teacher that she was a girl and not a boy. Along with the time when Emily got caught by her dad wearing a dress at an early age, Emily said, “ My body is the problem it's hard to tell people you are a girl when everything physical screams ‘guy’. Even in the semi-darkness my reflection in the mirror had these broad shoulder and no waist” (32). This is significant because Emily talks about how her body shows everything she doesn't want. But if Medical agency were to be available it would make it a whole lot easier for my protagonist. So every time she would look in the mirror, she would have her body just like she wants it to look. Additionally, when Emily went to a consultation with her therapist, Dr.Mandel, Emily told Dr. Mendel all her problems. When Dr.Mendel asked what had Emily had been working on, Emily replied, “I been working on my voice’, I said. ‘Sometimes after school when I have some time alone in my car’” (122). I learned parents are supporting more transgender people because of the stories of more transgenders that have increased. I also learned that if you don’t have the body that you want, you can have or develop anxiety, panic and even suicide.That's why Emily's law will benefit transgender teens because that way they won't have to take their lives away and they will be happy in the body they love. This matters because people under the age of 18 can have the opportunity to have the body they want without feeling rejected by the community or their
