The labor movement had Mexican Americans stand up for their equality in the work place. The amount that they were getting paid was not helping them and was causing more and more families to live in poverty. In the video “Emma Tenayuca: la Pasionaria de los trabajadores”, they talk about how Emma led a work strike to help raise the minimum wage for Mexican Americans, but it was also the beginning towards total equality for the Mexican Americans. In the article “Carolina Munguia and Emma Tenayuca, The Politics of Benevolence and Radical Reform” they write about finding justice for all, and they were not just fighting for a money raise.
