The 20th century was a time for enormous change in the United States. One of these changes was the rise of the women’s movement. During the 20th century the women’s movement created huge change in Western society including women’s suffrage, the right to own property, the right to make individual decisions regarding pregnancy, broad employment for women at more equitable wages, access to university education, and more.
