Though acute care facilities are strongly encouraged to conduct offsite backups of their data through alternative servers or even a cloud computing service, that way if a facility were to suffer a catastrophic crash, they would still be able to retrieve and reconstruct a patient’s information through the backup. The start up cost for EMR’s is consider to be very expensive, thus a disadvantage in the short run. Now a days healthcare organizations need to reduce their costs, parceling out capital to information systems is still considered a
