The purpose of this article is to compare end-of-life nursing interventions used by nurses in United States and Korea regarding hospice care. The cultural differences of hospice care nursing interventions between the two countries are explored by evaluating electronic medical records. This study used a descriptive design to distinguish the nature and types of nursing interventions implemented by Korean nurses in a hospital hospice setting. Data was collected from electronic medical records (EMRs) of hospitalized hospice patients in Korea over a two year duration, January 2009 through December 2010. Detailed nursing interventions were recorded onto the Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC) for comparison of nursing interventions preferred
