Introduction What I am trying to test is how much energy we wasted in our daily life. An average American home uses 909 kWh (kilowatt hours) per month. But I want to find out how much is not even used. In 2012 the US economy wasted enough energy to power the United Kingdom for 7 years. Energy Wasted Over The Years In America

Today the US is in the lead of wasting energy. In 1970 30.5 quads (quadrillion Thermal Units) of energy was wasted. In 1970 31.1 quads were used for transportation, residentials commercial, industrial work etc. In 2012 the US made 95.1 quads of raw energy. But wasted 58.1 Quads and only used 37 quads. Also 58 percent of the energy we use today is wasted. The usa is 39% energy efficient. in another way 61% of the energy that flows thru the economy is wasted. But did you know the thing that lets in oxygen and sunlight is also letting in heat in the summer and cold in the winter, and that problem is your windows, but you don’t need to get rid of your window’s. By insulating and sealing your windows you will save money and heat. One third of the heat you use in your home is wasted just by just going out the window.

How To Stop Wasting Energy In Your Home

A few ways to stop using so much energy on wasteful things like leaving the lights on when you are not in the room or leaving your TV on all day. Even waste of your water would be if you left the sink going as your not useing it. But as we waste energy in our everyday life we can also save energy in our everyday life. by turning off the lights when you're not in the room or turn off the T.V. that you’re not watching it.
