As English 099 course demonstrates the fundamental procedures of reading and writing in college level, it is crucial for scholarly written works. I feel that the College Reading and Writing course benefitted my capacity as a reader and a writer. It increased my confidence about college level academic writing.
The three writing projects that I wrote for this class really challenged me to improve my writing. My focus in these writing projects was not on implementing others ideas, but on learning how to express my own effectively. My first research writing project introduced the new of academic writing style. In English 99 class, the introduction part of the research paper is the part that I demonstrated the new concept called thesis statement.
