There are three models of drugs and crime. Enslavement model is of citizens getting addicted to drugs and due to their uncontrollable habits, getting involved in criminal acts to continue on with their addictions. Therefore drugs and crime are correlated to each other according to this model. Dissimilar to the enslavement model predisposition model argues that majority of people prior to their addiction were engaged in a criminal lifestyle. Based on this idea the legalization of drugs would'nt affect crime rates. Intensification argues that people with a criminall lifestyle proceed onto the acceptance of drug use and the withdraw of drugs causes a decline in crime.
