This situation highlights that the QA team is a family of dedicated and easygoing individuals. I have read about horrible work environments in which the employee does not want to associate with his/her teammates outside of work; this is troubling and speaks volumes about that particular company's culture. The horror work story is another reason why I began my job search early. Having more time to research different company's cultures would hopefully increase my chances of ending up at a great company.
