“ Don’t be afraid to start over.” Any immigrant can say this is true when they have to leave their old life behind and get separated from their family.Esperanza Ortega from Esperanza Rising by Pam Ryan is a good example of discrimination.Esperanza thought she would always have a wonderful life but, all the sudden she is in california being put to hard work and bad days. While Esperanza began her life with no worries,as she got older she had to deal with challenges such as not knowing how to do chores and facing discrimination.
