Essay 2 (Draft 1) Help Your Neighbor My Aunt Jessie has left an abundant amount of money to better my life and the community.
After my grieving of my aunt passing, I decided to make a plan to put together an organization to help the kids in our town to stretch their mind in education and the arts
.
With the program “Help
Your Neighbor” I hope to grow our kids to become future thinkers for this community
. This paper will incorporate Mo Tzu’s essay “Against Music;” which is on the thoughts of art and its affect on basic needs
.
Mohandas K
.
Gandhi’s essay “Economic and Moral Progress;” talks about Gandhi’s life and how everyone has a right to live and make a living

The “New
Testament, Luke Chapter 16;” preaches on wealth and poverty
.
Hitha Prabhakar’s article “6

Before I can start up my organization I first need to learn how to manage the financing aspect
.
I want it to be a place where kids do not have to pay
.
Know that I can financially depend on investors and donors for the time put into the kids
.
Second, decide how to set up interviews for an afternoon crew
.
I then need to make a reasonable and manageable pay for the staff I will have . Then to asking myself some questions on how I want “Help Your Neighbor” to be portrayed, how to successfully educate the kids and how they can achieve their self set goals
.
Mo Tz informs us that we as humans, are very selfish and lazy when he writes, “What benefits men he will carry out; what does not benefit men he will leave alone” if something does not benefit us we will leave it behind (309)
. If kids do not have a reason or motivation to work at something, then they will drop it and move on to something else that will take motivation
.
I want kids to be motivated when they walk in the door
.
I want them to believe that they can pass this math test that is coming up, or learn how to play the guitar or any instrument that a kid is desiring to master
.
Gandhi paints a picture of how being rich can ruin a man when he compares, “‘It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God’” money is a necessity in this dysfunctional world, but it causes people to turn into monsters (336)
.
With the money my aunt left me I knew that I had a great deal of responsibility poured on to me
.
I get to decide what I want to do with the money
.
I could completely disregard what my aunt’s will requests of me, or take my aunts advice and use it to help my future
.
Gandhi claims “If I were not afraid of treading on dangerous ground, I would even come nearer home and show you

that possession of riches has been a hindrance to real growth” this portrays to me that money is a dangerous responsibility (335)
.
If not handled with patience and caution I or anyone else could find themselves in some serious trouble and not to mention debt
.
I would use the money to pay off my mortgage on my house so I would not need to worry about it
.
Then pay off student loans to get myself out of debt
.
With what is left over I will put it in a savings account to save for emergencies, vacations, and unnecessary expenses that I love
.
Sethi explains that you can splurge on things that you love instead of random
