Each time a child is needing to be changed the caregiver washes their hands, places what looks like tracing paper on the change bed, and then puts on gloves before changing the child. Since the caregiver for the infants was responsible for 4 children, the caregiver was very quick in changing a child and did very little interaction with the child they were changing, and always checking behind them to make sure the other infants on the floor in their c-shaped pillows were all ok. After each changing the caregiver will place the baby in a c-shaped pillow, and then cleaned the changing area with disinfectant spray, and cleaned the area. This was also done with the caregiver on the young toddler’s side as well. Also on the infant side they keep a log of when each child is changed and at what time, along with keeping track as to when an infant had a bottle. This helps staff that come into the class to relieve the core staff for a lunch or break, to know what child has had what and when the next changing or feeding should take
