In the National Institute of Justice, the Kanas City Gun Experiment has brought upon a large amount of controversy. The experiment is being used to determine whether the amount of guns people have is the problem, the people who have the guns, or is it something else. The Kanas City Gun Experiment believes that it is the guns people walk around with in city locations, which are considered high risk. Although these people carry their gun with them everywhere it is not seen to people they walk past. Many people in society do not like seeing guns, and to now allow the everyday citizen to walk around with it out could be seen as too much for some people. People who own guns do not undergo training to teach them how to use a gun, and when to use a gun. Police are trained for circumstances and situations involving guns, which is why society pays for their service. Guns cause fear, which can cause society to function poorly in many aspects. Guns have a much bigger effect on society than just killing people, the damages guns do physically, and mentally can effect the economy and the moral of the people. Many people see a gun and automatically fear for their lives whether the person intention is to protect them or do harm to others. There is no way someone can feel safe next to someone with a gun unless they know them and their intentions while having the gun. Police have a job for a reason and if citizens are walking around with guns it makes their job much harder. Hunting rifles have a legitimate reason to be owned because people go hunting. Weapons that shoot hundreds of bullets a second have no place in society. Hunting rifles can’t kill multiple people so there is not a chance that a mass shooting will
