On August 9, 2014 Michael Brown was shot ten times. There was a robbery at store next to Ferguson Street and the police were called over to the scene to investigate. An officer whose name has yet to be released, saw Michael and his friend walking on the street and tells them “Get the F*** on the sidewalk.” The young men replied that they were “not but a minute away from our destination, and we would shortly be out of the street,” but the officer grabbed Michael by his shirt pulling him into the car. While pulling Michael into the window of the car the officer’s gun was already out of its holster and directed towards. While Michael was pushing against the car to release himself and the officer told Michael “I’m going to shoot you” and automatically shot him in the shoulder. Michael fell back from the shot and automatically bagan to run with his friend. While they were running the cop left his vehicle. Michaels friend hid begin a nearby vehicle while Michael continued to run from the cop. The cop (without a warning) began to shoot at Michael while Michaels hands were up towards the air shouting “I’m unarmed, stop shooting” yet seconds later he was on the ground dead. My thoughts on this article are that it disgusts me how the officer acted towards Michael and his friend. They were not doing anything except walking on the street and the officer automatically threatened Michael before shooting him. It also shows how people are towards each other especially if from a different race religion, ethnicity, ECT.
