Racial profiling affects both the world around us, and our inner peace. People who go through racial profiling experience challenges in and everyday life. It has come to the point that at those times people face higher insecurities adding on to the personal obstacles they have to face. The cordia students were challenged off the profile they were given and their social status. Racial profiling affects the world, our inner peace, and our judgment of others.
The world in which we live in is affected and influenced by racial profiling, cordia high school was seen as a target because they were one out of the ten poorest schools in the U.S. Since they were thriving other schools were bothered or saw them as a threat, which eventually let to coach Rodrick being fired after they won the state championship. They either came from as broken home or were low income. These students were so inspirational and had so much passion for basketball. At one point these outgoing students didn't believe in themselves. Being racially profiled can cause someone to be insecure and unhappy with themselves and their race. Nobody should feel this way but these students were targeted by other schools and the superintendent. During game days students from other schools like Knott high school dressed up like gorillas or were posting racist things on the internet. For example, one student put and african american person hanging from a rope, and nobody did anything about it. We can only imagine how this disturbs or truly affects these kids from not only the outside but the inside. This can lead to many things yet they made it look like there was no problem, our inner peace is the healthiest thing one can have.
