The Second World War, widely regarded as one of the worst wars in history. Struggle between the Allies and the Axis. More than 60 million killed and about 26.5 million injured. So who helped the wounded? Well, these are the doctors of war. The doctors played a huge role in the Second World War, helping wounded and sick soldiers. So how did the doctors actually help the soldiers? Well their expertise and their medical knowledge have greatly contributed, their equipment obviously played an enormous role as well as their somewhat debatable protection of the Geneva Convention. The doctors were undoubtedly the heroes of many soldiers, and here is how.

First, their medical knowledge and skill. So what exactly was a doctor doing? Well, their jobs varied, but common medical jobs were administering first aid to the sick or injured, applying bandages, manufacturing and applying splints to injured limbs, bathing and Food for patients, …show more content…

"
