The Mamluk Empire played a substantial role in shaping out the current country of Egypt. The Mamluk empire did not only shape the country, but it was also the people that lived in the Empire, their clothing , architecture, and the way that the empire was generally developed. For instance, clothing has historically determined the hierarchy of the social as well as the economic classes and their roles.
