Someone may work just as hard, but still could be paid a lot less. Due to the favorite sports in society, college athletes shouldn’t be paid.
Some people may think that paying college athletes will keep them out of trouble, or help them with living expenses. Paying college athletes certainly doesn’t keep them away from trouble. If anything it makes them feel comfortable to get money handed to them, and it won’t matter what they do outside of sports. It doesn’t help them whatsoever either. They get the money just for doing the sport. They need to be independent. Therefore, college athletes should not be paid. Paying college athletes should not be allowed or should be banned. When you think about it, paying college athletes could lead into some very difficult problems in the future.
