When talking about DAPA and DACA, Estrada aforesaid “ITEP projects that fully legalizing the current 11.3 million unauthorized immigrants would add $2.1 billion in state and local tax revenue each year,” (Estrada, "How Immigrants Positively Affect the Business Community and the U.S. Economy"). These immigrants help the economy so much, that American economist believe that they are the future economic engine of America, even the world. It is known throughout American history, the foundations of which this country has been made off of was all thanks to the immigrant generations. To which she explained, “Because it is more productive to work on your own than to be employed.” I then asked how long ago did she start her business and how many employees does she have currently? She responded, “7 years with 8 months ago and 5 employees.” Mrs. Arellano when asked in the email about how much would she say immigrants benefit the American economy, she began talking about the harder jobs in society that immigrants tend to do. She aforesaid “Those who work in the fields (large produce farms) and in the workforce (construction) have the highest index.” Mrs. Arellano was referring to the increasing amount of undocumented workers doing these hard jobs like, construction or field work that helps advance the American economy. These two sectors are the ones that majority of Americans would not work in but never the less are much needed jobs. Mrs. Arellano has her own store in which, everyday she sees these hard-working immigrants come in for their lunch break to get a few snacks.Those workers are contributing to the economy by not just working in these jobs, but also by buying products from small businesses like Mrs. Arellano’s. Her small store is able to flourish making her able to get more workers as she gets more money. Without these expatriates the economy would plummet a tremendous amount, effecting not only the American economy but the world's economy. Nevertheless, these undocumented workers are more likely to start their own business, develop new important technologies, and would increase the wages of Americans. Imagine would what day to day life would be like without these prodigious workers. After some time, the realization that society would be completely distorted without these immigrants will set in, making the power of the immigrant truly show. So please, when there is a discussion held about whether or not immigrants should be deported, always try and fight for those who are too small to fight but can make an enormous
