It is very unethical to exclude some safety features from less expensive new car models. There are many reason as to why it is unethical. The main factors would be that the lives of the car company's loyal customers would be put at a constant risk. The article mentions how mainly the airbags and compartments in the car shift during impact tests. This basically means at the moment of impact the drive will hit a much harder surface rather than the airbag which could mean the difference between life and death. Another major issue is that the door would come right off their hinges, thus basically putting the driver in much more danger as they could be fully or partially ejected from the car.

Car companies will be recognized for the effort to improve safety on their models. Car companies will have to accept their prior acts of negligence and do a recall of already sold models for correction. Car companies will gain some bad press for the
