On August 6th of 1945, an American B-29 bomber plane took off from the island of Tinian towards Japan. At approximately 8:15 am, the first atomic bomb used in war-time was dropped on Hiroshima. Three days later, the second atomic bomb fell upon the city of Nagasaki. The infrastructural, psychological, and physical damage of the atomic weaponery affected survivors and Japan for decades.
