Life will not always be easy. In fact, life will knock you down, just to knock you down again when you get back up. In telling her daughter that life knocks you down only to knock you down again when you get back up, she is telling her a life lesson. Rather than trying to save her, she is warning her what may happen, then going to be there to comfort her when it is needed. Sara Kay used pathos and logos. In using pathos she is using your emotions, as this warrant makes you think. Some people may have already experienced this in life, or are thinking when this does happen, you need to get back up. You should never stay down. In using logos, the author is using logic. It is logical that life will not always be happy, but come with some sad times. In saying these things she used plain folks and bandwagon. She is talking to everyone in what she is saying, and also hoping everyone will take in what she is saying.
