This quote is written by Eudora Welty, where she refers to the reader as a listener and the writer as a listener. That means that every writing has its own voice. A voice and tone that changes with the story. I have never thought of writing in this concept, but what a great way to make one rethink about this process. Most importantly, is what voice would reader hear as a listener. The sound can be written in so many ways. Once it is captured it gains its own audience including the author. This sound is no longer a thought. It is expressed in writing, that is open to whom ever gets an access to it.
