The arrival of Europeans in Asia set up change and development in countries as well as affected the population. I agree the positive aspects of European colonization outweighed the negative ones. The European system of common law was introduced during this age to allow others to practice their customs and religion. In Southeast Asia countries such as Thailand, Burma, and Vietnam grew sustainably because of European influence on borders, trade, manufacturing, and food production. As a result of modernization these countries benefited with wealth and growth of populations.
