Title VII Civil Act of 1964 was effective by July 2, 1964. Title VII protects individuals from discrimination against employers. Title VII affects all men and women who have been discriminated on base of sex, religion, race or color while working with employers with fifteen or more employees. Employment discrimination should not be permitted at any labor organization and is illegal to discriminate an employee in any circumstance including hiring, promotions, training, benefits, and wages especially in any government agencies. Discrimination should be reported immediately and has a limit of 140 days. According to, the U.S Equal Employment Opportunity Commission(EEOC), 35% of cases occurred in 2016 were based on race employment discrimination. Although the act has been passed on for more than fifty years, employment discriminations are still being done daily. Statistics indicate there is at least a 12% chance a business will get charged for a claim on discrimination. Race has lead to affect wages, sales and hiring in many cases.
