Possible Solutions:
Alternative 1: The management promotes Charlie Pace to the position of managing VP. It can be denied that Pace is the best candidate for this position because of his high working performance and contributions to the company. With his knowledge obtained from the business school and contacts with people in the business field, he will bring Evergreen a lot of potential projects and customers in the future. However, the side effects of Adderall may decrease his productivity in the long term. If he stopped taking the medicine, he could not ensure to work in the same level with other employees. Because Adderall may cause a lot of side effects to Pace and it benefits only lasts for a short period of time, choosing him for the position may increase the risk of decreasing profit for the whole company.

Although his productivity is not as much as Pace, he is an excellent and hard-working employee who always tries his best to complete his work and bring profit to the company. Earning MBA from a business school and working for one of the Evergreen’s competitors for a long period of time, he is totally suitable for this position. In the future, his working performance surely does not change because he works by his natural ability and do not need any off-label prescription stimulants. The disadvantage of choosing Faraday is that he does not have as many good relationships in the financial field as Pace, so he may not bring a lot of customers to the company.
