Evidence doesn’t lie CSI and other police procedural drama television series basically demonstrate each forensic science unit and its selected duties. Forensic science is built of different units and each unit has its own responsibility in the operation field duties such as evidence collector, Photographer, finger print screening, medical examiner, etc. In reference to Law and order SVU (one of the famous police procedural television series) famous provocative yet factual line that I often hear is ‘the evidence doesn’t lie’. The article that I reviewed is entitle “The evidence doesn’t lie” authored by Chandler Harris, and it’s a Genre literacy and the CSI effect. Secondly is Discovery of the crime in this stage victim is discovered, take a homicide for example a corpse. After the victim is discovered next is the Beginning of the investigation, this phase is to notify the CSI that there has been a crime scene. Fourth step is the Phases of the investigation. During the investigation there are several methods and phases that the investigator abides to in order to resolve a case. It is during this phase the CSI collects information and analyze it so that to apprehend the perpetrator. Fifth step is Elucidation of the case and identification of the perpetrator. After collecting all evidence and analyzing it this step in a genre function of a crime scene investigation is that the interpretation by using evidence that the perpetrator is true or false. If the accused is determined to be falsely accused then the process will go back to phases of investigation. If the investigators (determine from the evidence) believes that perpetrator is true therefore leads the process to the sixth step. the sixth step is Consequences of the identification. Basically this step is that the perpetrator is being removed from society. Lastly the seventh stage is Resolution, in this last step they have apprehend the suspect and
