Examples Of Propaganda Poster

On my poster, I used several noticeable propaganda tools. I used demonization, emotional appeals, half-lies, and evocative visual symbols and a catchy slogan. I used demonization to illustrate the enemy as an insane psychopath. From the blood-shot eyes, to attempting to “rule the world,” the German enemy does not represent anyone good. I showed a propaganda tool of emotional appeals by having the enemy German “stepping all over us.” On the poster, the German is walking over us, as we are nothing, thinking THEY can destroy anything. Once the American people see this, I can GUARENTEE they would want to start a war effort to either get in the war, or attack them already. Also, this does represent half-lies. As we all know, the German’s did not walk over everything and everyone as if the countries were nothing. In addition to that, several evocative symbols were used. The HUGE USA flag showed people that we are STRONG, and won’t let some country take over us. We, untied, can accomplish anything. In addition to using all those uses I have used, I had a catchy slogan: “Don’t let chaos ruin your day…Join the U.S. Army Today!”
Not only did I use various tools of propaganda to represent things I felt, but everything on that poster had a particular meaning. For instance, the evil German represents each German’s soldier’s attitude about taking over the world: they were cocky, and thought they were better then everyone, as you see him walking on the globe.
