The Crucible plot is mainly base on the witch hysteria and on sins of the puritans community, we can also observe in the plot’s backdrop many rivalries and resentment between the characters of the play. We can find many examples of personal rivalry at every scene of the play. One example of rivalry, and also the main one, is between Abigail Williams and Elizabeth Proctor.
