A few years after I was born, my father finally got the opportunity to bring my grandmother to the United States from Cuba. Bringing her brought a lot of joy to my family since we knew that she would have more opportunities here just as my father got to experience. Just a few years after arriving her doctor gave the news to my mother who passed it down to my siblings and I. My grandmother has been suffering from Alzheimer's disease since just shortly after she arrived. Not many people realize that it's a very serious thing and can negatively affect many people.
