What a loud and annoying woof to some is a sound of relief to others. When one hears a bark they may hear a dog, but others hear a best friend, life saver, and personal trainer. While many pet owners pick their pups simply for the sake of having a pet, the benefits of having a dog are almost endless. In a world where the people you count on can be very inconsistent, it’s nice to have a companion that you can always depend on. The feeling of security while with certain types of dogs who would do anything and everything to protect you is beyond measure. Plus, just thinking about the number of therapy and medical bills they keep you from having to pay is something that could never go underappreciated. Dogs will instinctively protect members of their “pack” and will put themselves in harms way to do so. These courageous canines would not only do all they can to protect their owner, but they would do it faster than any human could.
