First, there is the injustice of the accused which is displayed in Document E. To exemplify Hammurabi’s Code’s unjustness to the accused law 215 states, “If a surgeon has operated on the body of a free man for a serious injury, and has caused his death, … his hands shall be cut off.” This law portrays the Codes unjustness towards the accused. It does this by ordering a surgeon to lose his hands in a situation where could do nothing more. 99/100 times the surgeon was trying to do all he could to save the patient however, he could not and that is not his fault but, he is still cruelly punished. Now after that incident, he is left with two things, a bad reputation as a failed surgeon. And no way to make a living as most things in the time required
