The american Society is A well oiled machine. It is chalk full of hardworking and socially responsible people. But What does it really mean to be a socially responsible member of the american society? For the instance of american society, it heavily relies on Being educated in an individuals rights and freedoms, Having sufficient moral values, and actively attempting service learning are the building blocks of a socially responsible citizen. Americans are a very freedom loving people, which entails they have many rights and laws in place to remain free and equal. Knowing the rights americans have is paramount to being a responsible member of american society. Service learning is synonymous with community volunteer work. The volunteer work really helps people feel apart of the community because, source 3 “By getting their hands dirty and actually doing work, citizens experience the value and impact of giving to people and learn to be productive members of society.” being able to say you have cleaned up the neighborhood or helped at a soup kitchen after that hard work is something most people remember for their entire life, it makes people feel like they really are leaving an impact on society and they cherish it.
