Explain Why Cheerleading Is Better Than Volleyball

When cheerleading was first started in the late 1800s, it started as an all-boys sport; however, in 1923, women were allowed to participate in cheerleading. In the late 1900s, women's sports started to get really popular. Another popular sport that women have started to participate in is volleyball. Both of these sports are competitive, as are school sports. Cheerleading is a much better option than volleyball because it is a year-round sport, you travel to interesting places, and lastly, cheerleading is less stressful than volleyball.

Being a cheerleader is very different from playing volleyball. Most sports only go on for a certain amount of time, an example being how football lasts from summer to fall or how basketball lasts from winter to spring. Cheerleading lasts all year round, from summer to spring. Cheer does get a small break when football ends to when basketball starts, but unlike cheer, volleyball isn't all year round. Usually, volleyball lasts from summer to fall. After the volleyball season is over, most players have to wait until the season starts again to play, or they start another sport that's in season.

What do I mean by exciting trips? Being a cheerleader grants you many opportunities to go to many different places. For example, Mattie T. Blount cheerleaders go to the Bayou Classic every year to watch the football game and battle of the bands. As for volleyball, the only “exciting” trips you go on are to a different school to play a match. Which is much different than going out of town for a football
