Why I Want To Be A Music Major

It’s difficult for me to summarize why I want to be a music major in only 500 words or less. There are no words to fully describe the impact music has on my life. Music helps me express every event and emotion in my life in a constructive way and is a release beyond anything I have ever known. I want to be a music major because I sit in class tapping my pencil each day, wondering why I’m learning the standard deviation of a logarithmic function instead of practicing and polishing my newest piece. I take my study hall to go to the practice rooms with my school’s out of tune piano to practice or work on theory, to soak in as much information as I can.
