America use the atomic bomb to win the war against Japan. At the time America dropped their bomb Japan was not in control of the war. After America dropped both bombs Japan surrendered, which ended the war. America decided to drop the atomic bomb because they had it on hand, it ended the war, and it ultimately saved lives. .
One of the reasons for dropping atomic bomb was that America had it. America originally started designing the bombe to keep up with Germany's defense tactics. At the beginning of the war germany had stop selling aluminum which is used to make bombs (Doc. A-1). America wanted to keep up with what Germany was doing, so they could use the bombs against them. Actually dropping the bomb was the only way scientists believed would make the Japanese surrender (Doc.C-2). Showing the Japanese video and saying “ Look what we have,” would not solve the problem. Your culture would put shame upon the people who surrendered to anyone. In the leaflet it gives the Japanese civilians a way to end the war. It says that they need to get new leaders, so they can end the war (Doc.D). America gave them away to knock at bomb, therefore they dropped the bomb because the Japanese did not take the Americans seriously when they dropped the leaflets. If this war would have continued it would have killed many more people, thus dropping the atomic bomb saved
