Have you ever heard of the Triangle factory fire? Well I’m going to tell you what I think started the fire. I got all my evidence from History.com, aflcio.org and the collections book. Here is the question everyone’s been wanting to know. What started the fire!?!
Could it have been the owners? According to history.com they are saying that owners Max Blanck and Isaac Harris may have started the fire. Blanck and Harris already had a history of factory fires. The Triangle factory was twice scorched in 1902, while their Diamond Waist Company factory burned twice, in 1907 and in 1910 this was not the cause of the 1911 fire. Blanck and Harris refused to install sprinkler systems.
