By extending services to Foster youth until the age of 21 we will see the benefits. Some states have already started this and passed a bill to extend Foster Care. I would purpose that every state gets on board and starts changing their policy to provide more support to these youth. They would benefit from housing support, employment, educational and mental health support as well. Some states are making it mandatory for the youth to have a job or be enrolled in school to be able to stay in Foster Care and that seems to be very motivational.
