We found Lee R Raymond, who was the CEO at Exxon from 1993-2005. He was born in 1938 in Watertown, South Daktoa. Went to University of Wisconsin in 1960’s and earned a B.S – Bachelor in Science Degree, he also went to University of Minnesota from which he graduated in 1963 and earned a PhD. Once he was done at Univ of Minnesota he started working at Exxon as a research production engineer. He worked his way up to the top throughout the years at Exxon and was even involved in the big merger between Exxon and Mobil in 1999.
He was very often criticized for not following the rules when it came to the global warming. That he wanted to open Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to drilling, that he kept using fossil fuel when everyone else were looking for a better solution for the nature, and that once an oil spill had occurred, it took him forever to make sure that it got cleaned up. Since the global warming is a very big concern in our society it feels that a leader for such a big company should take it more seriously, and not just think about making the numbers but to think about the greater good for the world as well.
