First Reading: Ezekiel 36:24-28

Ezekiel 36:24-28 reveals that God will save us from wherever we are. No matter where we come from, God will cleanse us from our sins, and he will make us new again. He will send the Spirit to help us along our journey of faith. We belong to God, and he will take care of us.

Second Reading: Romans 8:14-17

Romans 8:14-17 reiterates the fact that we are God’s children. Even though we do have to fulfill duties as Christians, we are not slaves. God cares about us very much, and he would never want for us to be his servants. Rather, we help him to spread the Good News since we are his children and successors.

Gospel: John 14:15-17

John 14:15-17 explains how God will send the Holy Spirit to help us become more like God. Although we cannot see the Holy Spirit, he works in our lives everyday, helping us to become better people.

It is easier to realize the material things that we are provided with, such as food, clothing, and shelter. However, God is the one who created these things. Even though we thank our parents for providing us with basic necessities, we often times forget to thank God for providing us with His many blessings. God is our Father, and we are His children. He loves us so much that He sent the Holy Spirit to help us become more like Christ. One way that we can become more like Christ is to fulfill his duty of spreading the Good News. Just as our parents ask us to complete tasks for them, God has asked us to complete this special duty. Just like our parents, God the Father loves us unconditionally. Just like the reading from Ezekiel states, God will save us no matter where we come from, or what our stories are. As long as we have faith in the Father, he will guide us on our journey of faith. As long as we are sorry for our sins, God will wash them
