Growing up, I was a very obnoxious kid in the Dominican Republic. I used to go around causing all sorts of problems, such as staying up late, running around, messing with people, etc. It took me quite a while to get rid of this trait. I felt that the people around me and the environment that I was in were causing me to lash out and act obnoxiously. But, everything changed when I was seven, and I moved to Florida, where I made new friends. I found an environment where I could be comfortable. The first year was the hardest because of the language barrier I had to overcome. Although I had learned the language, I still felt insufficient. Because of those qualities, I have been able to become someone that I can truly be proud of. Furthermore, because of these qualities, I was able to become the club leader of FFEA (Future Educators of America), where we help and mentor students who need academic help, which taught me many valuable lessons about leadership structure, organization, and patience. Most importantly, I feel that the skill that it taught me the most was how to interact with people and come to understand them and understand their strengths and weaknesses through teamwork, as well as understanding my own. I feel that my past and all these valuable experiences that I have gathered throughout the years have led me to become a better person. Moreover, I attribute these changes to the people I admire most, my parents, whom I often see working hard late at night just to provide for our family. To add on, I consider keeping myself motivated and maintaining my good grades one of my best accomplishments as I have no one to help me understand the equipment and am
