I'm a girl who loves to take pictures and show them to everybody. I'm also a girl who loves to let people know what's on my mind. So, when it comes to social media, Facebook and Instagram are most definitely my two favorite social media sites. They have so many similar features but are very much different.

Facebook, which is the oldest out the two, first started back in 2004. A man by the name of Mark Zuckerberg who was into computers at a very young age. Mark first created a messaging program called "Zucknet" that his father first used in his dental office at the age of twelve. Mark created Facebook in his dorm at Harvard university. The now have a reaction button unlike Instagram. Using the reaction button, you can love and laugh at things that other people post. Facebook can be a blessing and a lesson. They have it to where u can even be watched lived by other users. Many people have lost their lives on Facebook while using this feature as others have caught people committing heinous crimes. I believe it's all about how the way you use your Facebook. You must be careful because it can be very dangerous to those without the knowledge of how Facebook works.

Although Facebook is very popular, another site has come out that is just as popular.
The name of this site is called Instagram. Instagram was created by its founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger back in 2010. Instagram started out as a simple picture sharing app. You could create a profile and upload as many pictures as you wanted. They created this app so people who were on the go would be able to share the journeys of their life. They gained 10,000 users within hours of opening the app to the public. After gaining users and more attention, in 2012, Facebook bought Instagram for 1 billion dollars. Instagram is now one of the top social media site
