One of the most important themes Raymond Bradbury emphasize in Fahrenheit 451 was censorship. He emphasizes the effects of the government taking control over a society. My specific thoughts on censorship were that it doesn’t affect a society that much. The government can censor some beliefs or ideas, and it won’t affect a society that much. After the Socratic Seminar, I learn that censorship can drastically affect a society. Today, inappropriate contents such as pornography can be censored, but that is the choice of the people. Whether a person wants to read about a certain religion or not, it is their choice.
