Surrender to the music that coursed through my veins was my revelation. My journey was not taken alone. Alongside me, I had my band director, a beacon of encouragement. His belief in me as well as my skills ignited my passion for music once again. With his guidance, my insecurities were nowhere to be found and I truly stepped into the spotlight. Music has become more than my sanctuary, it has become an anthem of my resilience. In the storms of my life, from the relentless demands of academics to the weight of an anxiety diagnosis, music was my refuge. Whether I was lost in the melody of my clarinet, or harmonizing with my friends, it was in these moments that I found my truest self. Today, as I stand on the cliff of my future, I carry with me the lessons I’ve learned on this journey.
