Is Our World any Different?
The dystopia in Fahrenheit 451 is a lot like, and not like our society today. A similarity between these societies is that we rely heavily on electronics such as televisions. We constantly need the newest product to fit in with everyone else. In
Fahrenheit 451 the wife needs a new television after a few months ago they got a new one. Television is so important in the book that on page twenty nine of the book it says “an hour of T.V class”. They use it so much in their society that it is even a class! However, in this book it says that firemen burn books and houses down, but in our world they put out fires. Another
thing unlike the dystopia is that books are not banned
