How does it feel to be discriminated against? During the book Farewell to Manzanar, Jeanne faced discrimination on multiple different levels. However, Jeanne never stood up to anything because she said she felt she deserved it, and she would try her hardest to blend in, whilst not standing out at the same time. She faced racism from her classmates, wasn't allowed to do certain activities due to her race, and other kids' parents didn't approve of her.
