Favorite Brand Paper
As individuals, we all have our favorite brand(s) for whatever the reason. This particular company produces a wide variety of quality products that are environmentally friendly, fairly priced and recyclable. Samsung’s products range from smartphones, tablets, televisions, refrigerators, home appliances, and computers to name a few. While reading this paper, you will see why I consider Samsung my favorite brand.
Samsung began in 1938, but it was not until 1970 when they began the production of their first black-and-white television. Throughout the decades that followed Samsung has developed color televisions, microwave ovens, air conditioners, computers, video recorders, refrigerators, tablets, and cell phones including smartphones. They take great pride in making sure that all of their products, as well as their offices, are environmentally friendly. By incorporating a green management policy that guides and supports their continuous enhancement of a greener environment through all of their business activities including product design, manufacturing processes, and workplace operations (Samsung.com). Samsung has also incorporated a take-back program for their products that is in compliance with specific recycling laws. This program is a voluntary program that ensures that all of the products collected are recycled in the most efficient way to minimize the volume of unrecoverable materials and maximize the usable materials. They believe that living by strong values is the key to good business. That’s why these core values, along with a rigorous code of conduct, are at the heart of every decision we make (Samsung.com). Their core values are people, excellence, change, integrity, and co-prosperity. By maintaining these values, is what allows them to continue to grow. Their vision for the new decade is to "Inspire the World, Create the Future" (Samsung.com).

Samsung has been recognized globally as an industry leader in technology and now ranks as a top 10 global brand. When it comes to their smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is in close competition with the Apple iPhone 6 and the HTC One M8.
