FBLA has only been a part of my school for a few years, so I wanted to create an event that would better the club and most importantly, my community. I previously attended a 'color run' that I found was entertaining and motivating for people to stay active. I was inspired by the run and presented the idea to the FBLA board. I made a point that Student Government, the largest club on campus, creates large-scale activities that brought attention to the association. I said that if we made the "FBLA Splash Dash" happen at our school, we could also make a large-scale event that would promote our new club and get more people to donate to the local organization we paired up with. After all, if we went through with it, we would be the first in our FBLA district to create an event that was donating 100% of the proceeds to a nonprofit.
