People tend to have fears of the unknown. Many may choose death to worry about, while others may choose something else. William Shakespeare chose to examine the human condition of wondering about death. The reoccurring scenes of dead and the theme of death in The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, lead to a window in the play by the fact that they show death is not always the end of a person’s life. The dead King Hamlet’s ghost appearing, the death scene performed by the troupe of actors for the royal family, and many other moments in the play allow the reader to analyze how humans become caught up in their fear of death, causing them to not be able to live their lives fully.
