I think that Felicia’s idea is smart and simple, so her project doesn’t get out of hand, but she presents the idea in a slightly boring way. She is very clear about what she expects the outcome to be of her project and exactly what she is going to do. Also, she doesn’t talk about getting any ideas from the students in her grade.
Versus Tyrese, who seems to be open to others ideas. I know this because in his speech he says ‘For a long time, my friends and I have been thinking of ways to improve our school grounds’ and around the end he talks about how ‘I came up with new ideas, I listened to you.’ when he was speaking about what he did when he was a class representative before, but he too has a few weaknesses. Also, she talks about if you vote for her ‘You won’t regret it’ and I consider that to be a partially aggressive line, where she has to be careful because otherwise will maybe start regretting voting for her, making it show that she thinks very highly of her idea.You also find her putting down her opponent, talking about how ‘These ideas always sound great at the time, but they become a problem when he has to raise money, find supplies and recruit help.’ She brings a good point, talking about the plan her opponent (Tyrese) and how his plan was unorganized. Felicia said this by bringing up weaknesses in Tyrese’s plan, such as ‘Who would supervise the area and clean it? Who would decide what music to play?’ and so
